Grilled Shrimp with Garlic Cilantro Sauce
Ingredients: 

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lbs uncooked shrimps , peeled and deveined
  • 4 - 5  tbsp olive oil
  • 1 head of garlic, trim the top off (keep it intact)
  • 1 lemon , juiced
  • 1 tbsp dry white wine
  • 1 tbsp dry pepper flakes ( optional)
  • 1 cup cilantro leaves, chopped

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 deg , Drizzle the garlic with olive oil. Roast in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
  2. Let it cool. Crush and peel the fragrant garlic.
  3. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Lots of pepper..
  4. In a small bowl, combine the cilantro, lemon, white wine , olive oil , pepper flakes and garlic.  Whisk together .
  5. Drizzle ( with olive oil) and heat your grill pan or cast-iron skillet or grill. Drizzle the shrimp with a lil bit of olive oil too. Grill the shrimp, do not overcook .
  6. After grilling, transfer the shrimp into a separate bowl and pour in a good amount of the garlic cilantro sauce. You can save a few of the sauce for dipping.
  7. Serve with white or brown rice. It also great with a bowl of salad!
